PAL: The mission continues
With the strict Metro Manila lockdown lifted, Philippine Airlines has resumed scheduled domestic flights to and from our Manila hub, to serve the urgent travel needs of our kababayans.

AirAsia remains steadfast in supporting government efforts to effectively manage the public health situation.

We are currently coordinating with aviation authorities on how flights will be affected by the government's latest decision to revert some areas, including NCR, to MECQ until August 18.

For now, flights will proceed as scheduled at least for August 3.

Guests with affected flights will be sent timely notifications through email and text. We urge guests to update their contact details in their bookings online to ensure they receive our notifications.

JULY 31, 1946

This day in PAL’s history, the flag carrier rose from the ashes and devastation of World War II to achieve a first for all Filipinos: Philippine Airlines operated a Manila to Oakland (California) flight, the first crossing of the
Pacific Ocean by an Asian airline.

PAL's Douglas DC-4 brought home American servicemen who were stranded in the Philippines due to a dock strike in the U.S.
The flight took 41 hours with stops at Guam, Wake Island, Johnston Atoll and Honolulu before arriving in California.

This historical feat paved the way for a regular Manila-San Francisco service by December of 1946.

This is the fighting spirit animating PAL today, rising from the depths of the 2020 pandemic to do what we do best: bringing people home, uplifting the economy, linking the Philippines with the world.

Before going to the airport
1. Face mask is required for all flights, from entering the airport to arriving at your destination. While any type of mask is allowed, please check the local regulations in your destination for any specific mask requirement.

2. Eat a hearty meal before flying. Our buy-on-board service will be temporarily suspended, except selling of bottled water and serving of pre-ordered meals.

3. Only one (1) carry-on baggage can be brought inside the cabin. Make sure that its size is not bigger than 56cm x 36cm x 23cm. Make sure that you can personally carry your bag for stowing in the overhead bins.

4. For your own peace of mind, bring your personal hand sanitizers with maximum alcohol content of 70% and not bigger than 100mL.

5. Bring your personal pen to fill out forms.

6. Check-in online by clicking here bit.ly/CEBOnlineCheckIn. You can go straight to the boarding gate if you don’t have a baggage. Otherwise, simply pass by our bag drop counter to check in your baggage.

7. Be at the airport three (3) hours before your flight’s estimated time of departure for a more relaxed experience as you go through the new pre-departure procedures.

8. Before flying, check all local government regulations of your origin and destination, to ensure compliance to their requirements.
