March 14 (2020) marks the day that the Philippines closed its border to the world. When all people were stuck in their homes, confused and in shock hanging in limbo.

The 2 years of the pandemic were not easy for our well-being both physically and mentally, and somehow that pandemic taught us how to stop not just smelling the roses but gaze at them and feel their existence. Appreciation and gratification are the 2 things that should be embedded within our hearts forever.

Whatever the lesson that someone got from that pandemic it somehow changes their lives and develops a mindset that will help them become a better person.

The pandemic not only changes people's perspective of life itself, and it also changes how we see our surroundings by giving respect to both plants and animals as part of this world (earth).

Now that the pandemic has finally found its exit out, we are ready to embrace the new world. We can start traveling, getting out from the four corners of our comfort zone. Building up wonderful travel memories with friends and families.

Travel was a badly hit industry during that dark moment, and hopefully, it's starting to get through. Traveling is a good therapeutic medication for people who are loaded with stress and anxiety. Breathing fresh air from the mountains or the sea gives you a sense of relief, same as looking at the moon or the star at night gives you a sense of calmness, or experiencing the sunset and sunrise which then gives you joy and puts a smile on your face.

Please do travel not just to help the travel industry but to give your body the needed medication and that is to enjoy life to the fullest.

Kalangaman Island Leyte
(Have you tried staying on an Island and is it worth it?)

My first time being on an island (overnight) with no electricity and water may sound scary to some like “oh my god, no aircon?"... "No water how can I take a bath?"...and so on.
But when I was there, the feeling was different. You become to appreciate God’s wonderful creation by looking at the crystal-clear water, and the luscious green leaves of the trees and plants.

And when the sun starts to set in, that is when everything turns majestically beautiful. The strike of colors in the sky reflects the ocean underneath, which is a stunning mirror of how our days should end. As the sky turns into darkness blanket of stars shows up as they glitter just like diamonds. It wasn’t total darkness when I was there, because the moon showed up, and brightened the whole place as if you were inside a ballroom hall; the sweet hum of the wind served as music in my ear.

On the next day, hoping to see the sunrise wasn’t the same feeling as the sunset. Because it’s a bit cloudy and having slightly bad weather doesn’t help. A realization that there will always be a disadvantage in every lovely place you are in. I guess that’s how nature works.

A full understanding of why it is expensive to travel to places like Siargao, or any islands in the Philippines. But an experience going back to basics and learning to appreciate your surroundings. Is an experience that money cannot buy.

Climate Change.

The muddy pathway from heavy rain doesn't make our trip up the mountains easy. It keeps us at home and in front of our gadgets instead of having a good time outside.

January until May is the summer season in the Philippines, and yet we are frequently visited by heavy rains ⛈, you hear and see on social media flooding left and right.

Is this the effect of climate change, and if it is, then the more we need to save a portion of our savings for travel. And why not give yourself a break to enjoy mother earth while we can still have the energy (health), the money (work), the memory (don't wait for dementia to kick in) and see the beauty of Mother Earth 😍 as its finest.

BORACAY, Philippines – Popular tourist destination Boracay Island is expecting visits from at least 18 cruise ships in 2023, which will provide a boost to the local tourism industry.

Niven Maquirang, officer-in-charge of the Port Cruise Ship Operation and Special Project, confirmed that the first ship is due to arrive the day before Valentine’s Day, February 13.

Maquirang’s office is part of the Economic Enterprise Development Department of the Aklan provincial government.

“This resort island was previously planned to be a hub for cruise ships in the Philippines, but the project was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” Maquirang said.
