BE AT THE AIRPORT ON TIME!!!
Airlines consistently remind us that if you have a flight in the Philippines, you should arrive at the airport 2 hours before your domestic flight and 3 hours before your international flight. This reminder is found everywhereโ€”on airline websites, their social media pages, and even during the booking process. In other words, it's abundantly clear!

Even if your flight is delayed, adhering to the original schedule is crucial for safety reasons.

When I fly, I typically arrive 3 hours early for domestic flights and 4 hours early for international flights, especially when departing from NAIA. I usually bring work to occupy my time in the boarding area or take a nap. This way, I ensure that I donโ€™t miss my flight! Even when I check in online, I still stick to the 2-3 hour rule. Although it may seem like a waste of time, itโ€™s better than finding alternative transportation.

So once again, if you are flying from anywhere in the Philippines, please arrive at the airport AT LEAST 2 HOURS prior for domestic flights and 3 HOURS prior for international flights!

You have NO right to blame the ground crew if you miss your flight! Air travel is a privilege, not a right. Ignorance of the rules is not an acceptable excuse. Please feel free to refer to your airline's website and social media accounts for information about the rules. Donโ€™t be a โ€œmamaru.โ€ If you donโ€™t make it to the boarding gate on time and the doors are closed, you will not be allowed to board, especially if pushback has already commenced.
If you disagree with this policy, you always have the option to seek alternative transportation. Purchasing a plane ticket does not entitle you to disregard the rules or make demands. Just like in school, where there are guidelines to ensure everyone's well-being, breaking those rules can lead to consequences. The same applies in aviation, where safety is of utmost importance.

Bark Air, the โ€œ100% totally real airline for dogs,โ€ had its first flight on Thursday from New York to Los Angeles โ€” and it was sold out. Although domestic tickets cost around $6,000 (for both Fido and Fidoโ€™s human), it appears you canโ€™t put a price tag on a happy dog, as many of the upcoming flights are listed as sold out as well.

In truth, Bark Air isnโ€™t an actual airline, but rather a charter operator. The flights are real, though, and theyโ€™re pawsitively luxurious for pups.

Unlike traditional plane journeys, where non-service dogs are generally required to stay in a crate or put in aircraft cargo holds, Bark Air has space for them to โ€œspread out comfortably,โ€ doggie champagne (aka chicken broth), calming treats, lavender-scented towels, toys, and more.

Flying international with PAL?

Remember to register on the E-Travel portal prior to your flight. This is mandatory for all arriving international passengers and departing Filipino passengers.
As of January 08, 2024, the PH Bureau of Customs' Baggage Declaration Form and the Currency Declaration Form are now integrated into the E-Travel System, along with the Bureau of Quarantine's Health Declaration Form and the Bureau of Immigration's Departure and Arrival Cards. This development aligns with the Philippine government's aim to digitize all CIQ (Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine) paper forms into one electronic platform.
