Here is the list of Jubilee Churches in the province of Nueva Ecija for the Jubilee Year 2025: Pilgrims of Hope.

As approved and officially announced by the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) on November 4, 2024, these declared Jubilee Pilgrim Churches will serve as sites for pilgrimage, offering an opportunity for spiritual renewal and grace for the universal Church. This declaration aligns with Pope Francis’ call to deepen and revitalize our faith through pilgrimages to local churches and shrines during this Holy Year of Hope.

CABANATUAN CITY, NUEVA ECIJA – The Provincial Government of Nueva Ecija, through the Provincial Tourism Office, successfully conducted the seminar on 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 last October 30, 2024 at the Old Capitol Building, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.

The subject-matter expert, Ms. Kristelle Lamson and Mr. Remarjay Neypes, both faculty members of Central Luzon State University, shared their knowledge in the planning process of establishing a festival.

The discussion highlighted the importance of knowing the purpose and significance of the festival in each city and municipality, as this will be the core of the entire planning process.

The Business Model Canvas was also introduced to the participants, as it will be the template and guide in identifying the key factors to considerately and properly execute a festival, ensuring that history and culture play a significant role in the event’s conduct.

Did you know that one of the first high schools outside Manila was established in San Isidro, Nueva Ecija?

Established in 1905, Wright Institute was one of the first public high schools outside Manila during the American colonization of the Philippines. Later on, it was renamed Nueva Ecija High School and was relocated to Cabanatuan City when the seat of government was transferred from San Isidro to Cabanatuan City in 1927.

Today, the restored structure of Wright Institute is known as the San Isidro Central School.

Hosted at San Jose City National High School, this event was a vibrant gathering of students and teachers. Dr. Rommel V. Espejo, Director of the NEUST Institute of Linguistics and Literature, once again captivated the audience with his engaging insights. The discussions shed new light on the Unang Sigaw ng Nueva Ecija, enriching our understanding of this pivotal moment in our province’s history. What an inspiring day of learning and reflection! 📚💡

We would like to thank San Jose National High School, Rizal Senior High School, Llanera Senior High School, Talugtug Senior High School, Carranglan Senior High School, Doña Juana Chioco Senior High School, San Isidro Senior High School, & Pantabangan Senior High School, students, teachers and principals.

With insightful discussions led by Dr. Rommel V. Sa paggunita ng ika-128 na anibersaryo ng Unang Sigaw ng Nueva Ecija, ating alalahanin ang mga kaganapan noong Setyembre 2, 1896, na naging dahilan at karangalan upang mapasama ang lalawigan ng Nueva Ecija sa isa sa walong silahis ng araw sa pambansang watawat ng Pilipinas.

Ang naging sentro ng pag-aalsa ay sa San Isidro, kabisera noon ng Nueva Ecija. Sa pamumuno ni Mariano Llanera na noo’y Kapitan Municipal ng Cabiao, kaagapay sina Manuel Tinio at Pantaleon Valmonte, tatlong libong mga rebelde ang tumulong sa kanyang panawagan na lusubin ang kabisera.

Nagmartsa sila patungong kabisera sa saliw ng tugtuging pandigma ng mga musikerong bumbong. Ang taktikang ito ang dahilan ng pagkabawi sa kabisera at mga bihag mula sa kamay ng mga kastila.

Nawa’y magsilbing inspirasyon ito upang ating sama-samang gunitain ang ugat ng ating kalayaan. Mabuhay, Novo Ecijanos! Mabuhay, Nueva Ecija!

This exhibition, running from August 26 to September 2, 2024, showcases the exceptional talent and creativity of our province’s finest artists.

We are deeply honored by the support of our beloved Governor Hon. Aurelio "Oyie" Matias Umali, Vice Governor Hon. Emmanuel Antonio "Doc Anthony" Umali, and Ma’am Czarina "Cherry" Domingo Umali. Your leadership and dedication to promoting local culture have been instrumental in bringing this event to life.

🎉🍽️ The 1st Unang Sigaw Pamanang Lasa Cook Fest was on fire at Freedom Park, Cabanatuan City! With sizzling pans and the aroma of homegrown flavors filling the air, each dish was a labor of love, prepared with passion and pride. Our esteemed judges—Chef Allen Niño Erlino, Chef Glen Mackoy Alfonso, and Ms. Maria Priscilla Salazar—had the deliciously difficult task of tasting and evaluating these culinary masterpieces.
