EXPLORE & DISCOVER. I visited San Agustin Church in Intramuros, Manila, which used to be the center of the Agustinian efforts to evangelise the Philippines. The experience was spiritually uplifting because every rooms, alleyways, gardens, stairways, etc. in this stone edifice are rich in historic and religious significance and just by walking inside it felt like being transported back in time. It gave me the mystical feeling of what it was like to live then during the time of the first Christian missionaries, the Augustinian friars, who played a very pivotal role in shaping the Philippines as Asia's only Catholic nation.
