Dubbed as the Gateway to the Northern Philippines, Clark International Airport (CRK) opens its gates even wider with the mounting of new 13 domestic and international routes by a local airline. Starting in March and April, tourists may now opt to book flights to eight local destinations and five Asian countries via CRK.
New routes include Clark — Caticlan, Clark — Cebu, Clark — Puerto Princesa, and other domestic destinations which are homes to the country’s majestic beaches frequented by tourists during the lenten and summer seasons. The Department of Tourism - Regional Office III, through its Inbound and Outbound Travel Exchange Projects, has been in full support of this latest route development.
Following the thrust of Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, the DOT-III embraces the strong presence of local airline companies in Clark that ensures improved accessibility/connectivity and an enhanced overall tourist experience in and out of the region. This is also key to stimulating tourism activities and spurring economic growth.
Just recently, the DOT won in the Destination Category of the prestigious Routes Asia 2023 in Thailand besting three other countries in its persistence to partner with airports and airlines and through its strong marketing efforts locally and globally.
