Fun Fact: Whale Sharks are actually the LARGEST fish on the planet and they are actually sharks despite the popular belief that they are from the whale family. Although they are "sharks" they pose no real threat to humans, are very docile and their diet are actually composed of tiny organisms such as planktons including copepods, krills, fish eggs and small fish.
