And lastly, you do need to know that your kids, your family or your friends will not remember the perfection or the money spent.

Itโ€™s a fact.

When they look back, they will recall the terrible jokes from the bad crackers, the time the turkey burned and you all ate cheese sandwiches and the feelings of warmth, happiness, love and togetherness you gave them, with your open heart and your open home.

And none of that will come from you rushing around the shops with impossible lists and a very bad headache.

So, as the month unfurls make this list the one you stick to and let the rest flow.

Spend time, be present and open up your heart to the season of goodwill.

Today we celebrate another Marian feast, this time under the title, Our Lady of Guadalupe. ๐Ÿ™

"Mama Mary after 4th apparition to Juan Diego, (who was canonized also in 2002) told him to gather flowers from the top of Tepeyac Hill in Mexico, which was normally barren, especially in December.

Juan followed her instructions and he found Castilian roses, not native to Mexico, blooming there. The Virgin arranged the flowers in Juan's tilma, or cloak, and when Juan Diego opened his cloak before archbishop Zumรกrraga (who doubted Juan Diego's claims of the apparitions) on December 12, the flowers fell to the floor, and on the fabric was the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe.

She is the Mother of everyone who loves, protects, and defends the sanctity and dignity of life.

Mama Mary of Guadalupe, pray for us, that we may all become defenders and protectors of every human life. Amen."
