O Kalinis-linisang Birheng Maria,
aming La Purísima Concepción,
buong kababaang-loob kaming dumudulog sa iyo.
Tulungan nawang makarating sa Poong Maykapal
ang aming panalangin,
upang mailayo sa lahat ng kasalanan
at hindi mabulid sa anumang kapahamakan.

Sa liwanag ng Banal na Espiritu,
kami nawa ay matulad sa iyong kababaang-loob,
pagka masunurin at lubos na pananalig,
nang kami ay maging karapat-dapat sa buhay na handog ng Diyos.
O Maria, ina ni Hesus at aming ina,
ikaw ang aming buhay, katamisan at pag-asa.

FIRST INT’L SHRINE IN THE PHILIPPINES

The Antipolo Cathedral has been declared as an international shrine today, January 26, 2024.

According to the Catholic’s Bishops Conference of the Philippines, Antipolo Cathedral is the first cathedral in Southeast Asia and the 11th in the world to be named an international shrine.

In June 2022, the Vatican announced the approval of the petition to elevate the cathedral into the International Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage.

Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of God and Mother of the Church, you are also our Mother ever ready to help us. With hearts full of love for you we consecrate ourselves to your Immaculate Heart so that we may be your devoted children. Obtain for us true sorrow for sins and fidelity to the promises of our Baptism.

We consecrate our minds and hearts to you that we always do the Will of our heavenly Father. We consecrate our lives to you that we may love God better and live not for ourselves but for Christ, your Son and that we may see Him and serve Him in others.

By this humble act of consecration, dear Mother of Perpetual Help, we pledge to model our lives on you, the perfect Christian, so that, consecrated to you in life and in death we may belong to your Divine Son for all eternity.

The title “Mother of God” goes back to the third or fourth century, but the Greek term Theotokos (“The God-bearer”) was officially consecrated as Catholic doctrine at the Council of Ephesus in 431, thus becoming the first Marian dogma. At the end of the Council of Ephesus, crowds of people marched through the streets shouting: “Praised be the Theotokos!”

Today, the Catholic Church celebrates the feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

In his angelus on Dec. 27, 2020, Pope Francis said: "It is good to reflect on the fact that the Son of God wanted to be in need of the warmth of a family, like all children. Precisely for this reason, because it is Jesus' family, the family of Nazareth is the model family, in which all families of the world can find their sure point of reference and sure inspiration."

The Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments through its Archbishop Secretary, Vittorio Francisco Viola, O.F.M. has announced* that the Holy Father, Pope Francis granted the Canonical Coronation of the National Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Fatima venerated at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Marulas, Valenzuela City under the Diocese of Malolos.

The Rite of Coronation will be held on February 25, 2024 (Sunday).

“We are confident that this Canonical Coronation will contribute to an ever deepening devotion to the Mother of God on the part of God’s holy, faithful people which will, in turn, assist them in their spiritual growth.” – Archbishop Vittorio Francisco Viola, O.F.M.
