Metro Manila's heat index on Monday is expected to reach 42 degrees Celsius based on the forecast of DOST-PAGASA.

A "danger" level heat index of 45 degrees Celsius may be observed in Dagupan City, Pangasinan.

While the residents of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan may feel 44 degrees Celsius heat index. The heat index in Aparri, Cagayan is expected to reach 43 degrees Celsius.

Laoag City, Tuguegarao City, ISU Echague, Clark Airport (DMIA), Aborlan, Virac (Synop), Masbate City, Zamboanga City, and Cotabato City may experience a heat index of 42 degrees Celsius.

PAGASA said that danger level heat index may cause heat cramps, exhaustion, and heat stroke with continued exposure to the sun.
