All international passengers seeking entry to the Philippines are strongly advised to only use the official One Health Pass (OHP) online registration portal:

The One-Stop-Shop for the Management of Returning Overseas Filipinos (OSS-MROF) issued the warning after reports of fraudulent websites which mimics the official OHP website were received.

Starting July 1, airfares will increase as fuel prices continue to rise.

The Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) has recently issued a resolution raising the fuel surcharge bracket to 11 for the month of July from June’s level 7.

Local airlines in the Philippines filed applications to impose higher fuel surcharges to cover their increasing fuel expenses.

Fuel surcharges are additional fees collected by airlines to help them recover fuel costs, Inquirer explained. These are separate from the base fare, which is the actual amount paid by the passenger for a seat.

Starting July 1, airlines in the Philippines are allowed to collect fuel charges ranging from P355 to P1,038 per passenger for domestic flights and P1,172.07 to P8,714.84 for international flights.

Under Level 11, flights from the Philippines to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia and Brunei will have a fuel surcharge of P1,172.07. Those going to Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Guam should be ready to pay an additional P1,620.99, while the applicable surcharge for flights to North America, United Kingdom and the Netherlands amount to P8,299.85.

DOTr WELCOMES GRAB'S FREE SHUTTLE RIDES AT NAIA

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Friday, 03 June 2022, welcomed the participation of ride-hailing app Grab Philippines in the Libreng Sakay Program of the government by providing free airport shuttle rides to passengers at the arrival areas of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminals 2 and 3.

Transportation Secretary Art Tugade expressed his gratitude to Grab as the free shuttle services will augment the current Libreng Sakay Program of the DOTr and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) by ferrying arriving airport passengers through 100 Grab units from NAIA to any point in the National Capital Region.

"'Malaking bagay itong Libreng Sakay mula sa Grab para sa ating mga pasahero upang agaran silang makauwi sa kani-kanilang mga tahanan. Nagpapasalamat tayo sa Grab sa inisyatibong ito na malaking tulong sa ating mga kababayan," Secretary Tugade said.

The free airport shuttle rides for passengers from NAIA will start on 15 June 2022 until 30 June 2022, which will run from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Passengers who wish to avail of the free shuttle service must book at the Grab booths located at the Arrival Areas of NAIA Terminals 2 and 3.

In an earlier statement, Grab Philippines expressed its gratitude to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Secretary Tugade for launching the Libreng Sakay Program, which benefitted millions of commuters.

“We thank President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and the DOTr under the leadership of Secretary Art Tugade for launching the Libreng Sakay program, as well as other valuable projects that continue to benefit the Filipino commuters,” the ride-hailing app said.

Good news to Filipino travelers! Starting June 1, 2022, Filipinos can finally visit the popular Jeju Island and Yangyang in South Korea visa-free.

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines said that Filipinos are allowed to enter only through direct flights. They can stay in the mentioned destination for up to 30 days.

Filipino tourists, however, are not permitted to travel to other regions outside the island.

PAL MOUNTS HISTORIC DIRECT FLIGHTS WITHIN BARMM 🇵🇭

Philippine Airlines (PAL) will soon host the first-ever direct flights within the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM)—seen to boost tourism and related activities in a region that was once a bottom-dweller in economic growth.

Beginning June 9, the flag carrier said its Cotabato-Tawi-Tawi-Cotabato route would operate twice a week. The travel gateways for the new service are Cotabato’s Awang Airport and Tawi-Tawi’s Sanga-Sanga Airport.

PAL said that the Airbus 320 aircraft would fly the passengers between locations, offering business class and economy seating.

BARMM recorded the second-fastest growth among 17 regions in 2021, with its economy expanding by 7.5 percent, according to data from the Philippine Statistics Authority. It recorded a -1.9 percent gross regional domestic product the previous year.
