๐Ÿ“6 TOXIC FILIPINO TRAITS

Meron at merong maiinggit sayo.. Lahat ng gagawin mo meron at meron silang masasabi sayo. Baka nga kaibigan o kamag-anak mo pa. Kaya just do what makes you happy basta alam mo na wala kang inaapakan at inaagrabyadong iba.. Hangga't hindi ka nanghihingi sa kanila gawin mo lang ng gawin. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ˜Š

Did You Know ? . . . Why PAL planes use โ€œPhilippinesโ€ instead of โ€œPhilippine Airlinesโ€.

From the 1940s until the 1960s, PAL had the โ€œPhilippine Air Linesโ€ superimposed on the fuselage of the aircraft and the Philippine flag on the tail. This went on throughout the turboprop era until early into the jet age.

However, PALโ€™s first jet engine aircraft, the Douglas DC-8, already had the familiar flag on the tail fin, which included the word โ€œPAL.โ€

In the 1960s, however, PALโ€™s logo was redesigned, which affected the livery. The new logo in the 1960s introduced a new concept for the companyโ€™s visual identity. It was a blue and red emblem on the left from a traditional black inscription, set in all capitals of a classy serif type face.

The emblem featured two overlapping triangles in blue and red, placed on a white background and enclosed in a thin black circular frame.

In 1986, the PAL logo was changed to what it is today. They added the sunโ€™s yellow rays to a blue triangle of the Philippine Airlinesโ€™ visual identity. The lettering was also refined, and now it features a delicate and smooth italicized Sans-serif typeface, also known as the โ€œPAL typeface, which looks friendly and welcoming.

Also, the livery changed, wherein the first aircraft to carry the โ€œEuro whiteโ€ fuselage and the new logo was the Shorts 360. The tailfin of the airplanes was painted with the familiar Sunriser logo.

The โ€œPhilippine Airlinesโ€ superimposed on the previous livery was changed to โ€œPhilippines.โ€ PAL is not only carrying the companyโ€™s name wherever it flies to. It does not only represent the core values and branding of the company but the whole Filipino nation.

Itโ€™s like โ€œbringing the Philippines and the Filipinos all over the world.โ€ They want to bring out that branding where you are in the Philippines whenever you step inside a PAL plane.

NAAWA AKO SA AKING CLASSMATE DATI๐Ÿ˜ฅ(LESSON TO LEARN TALAGA, HINDI LAHAT NG MAY MAGARANG CAR, RICH)

I met an old classmate, we had not seen each other for about 30 yearsโ€ผ๏ธโ€ผ๏ธ

When I saw him again, this time at a hotel lobby, he was looking simple. He wore simple clothes. I felt touchedโ€ผ๏ธโ€ผ๏ธ

He walked up to me and was glad to see me again. But deep within me I was not impressed with his status compared to mine and poor me, I couldn't hide it.

We exchanged contact details and I could see the joy in him as he collected mine.

I told him I would drop him home in my brand new Range Rover and I pointed it to him. He declined and said he had already called for his car. It looked old, a 2001 Honda Accord.

I invited him the next day for lunch at my house. A part of me wanted to impress him, to show off my success and affluence to him; while another was to discuss opportunities and possibly help himโ€ผ๏ธ

He drove to Parkview where I lived. He looked impressed with my home. I had taken a heavy mortgage. In fact, I was heavily in debt. We had lunch. He told me he was into small business and particularly real Estate. I brought up more business discussions, but he didn't sound too interested. I asked him how I could help him. He said he was fine. I even told him if he was interested, I could help him secure some loans. He looked at me and smiled.
He told me he would invite me over soon to his place. His old car came for him. I was grateful to God for what I had.โ€œFingers are not all equal" I thought to myself. I was lucky. I worked in a good place.

Two weeks later, my wife and I went to see him in a remote area. Initially, my wife was reluctant to go because she was not impressed with the man's status as to warrant our visiting him in his houseโ€ผ๏ธ

I was able to convince her that we were close friends in College.
We saw the Estate. We asked for directions to his home. Those leading us spoke his name with deference.
It was a simple but lovely home. A 4-bedroom bungalow. I saw 4 cars parked in front. We entered his home. It was simply elegant with a touch of class inside. He welcomed us warmly.
Lunch was well served.
His wife called him Papa Onos.
During lunch, he asked about my MD. He said they were friends. I saw a company gift on one of his tables nearby. That company owned about 38% shares where I worked. I enquired from him about it. He smiled. He told me he owned the company. He also owned the Estate.
I did not know when I called him sir. I was in awe of him too.

I had learnt a lesson in humility, A big one. Appearances are deceptive. He noticed my discomfort.
Driving back home, I was very quiet. My wife was humbled and extremely calm. I could perceive the thoughts in her mind. I looked at myself. Living on loans, heavy loans and showing off while someone who pays my salary is quite modest and living a simple life.

Indeed Deeper Rivers Flow In Majestic Silence.
Adjust your perception towards others this year.

Read, learn and take a good step of change.
Stop rating people based on their physical appearance or level of education.
Concentrate more on how to better your life, than on how to impress people.
Have a lovely day ahead.
Lesson learned..โ€ผ๏ธโ€ผ๏ธโ€ผ๏ธ

Jack Ma the richest man in China said, "If you put the Banana and Money infront of a monkey. The monkey will choose Banana because the monkey don't know that money can buy alot of Bananas."

In fact, if you offer WORK and BUSINESS to people, they will choose to WORK because most people don't know that a BUSINESS can make more money than salary.

One of the reason the poor are poor is because the poor are not trained to recognise the entrepreneurial opportunity.

Profit is better than wages because wages can support you, but profits can make you a fortune.
