CAPIZTAHAN NIGHT FESTIVAL OPENS IN ROXAS CITY CITY, DUMARAO SHOWCASES LOCAL DELICACIES

Roxas City, Capiz – The Capiztahan Night Festival launches on October 17, marking the start of the 14th Regional Travel Fair in Roxas City. Held at the Capiz Gymnasium Villareal Stadium, the event gathered 16 municipalities from across the province, including the Municipality of Dumarao, which showcased its local delicacies.

Pamukaw and other traditional Capiznon dances were presented and songs were sung while the participants wore beautifully colored native attire that showcases the rich culture of the province. Several local delicacies were served together with the presentations where every municipality showed off their special dishes.

On the other hand, Dumarao presented roasted native chicken, cassava cake, and Calamansi juice from Gibato. These offerings were among the featured dishes that reflected the local flavors and products of the municipality, drawing attention from attendees.

Moreover, the seafood dishes that Capiz is famous for were also presented that promoted the marine resources of the province. The Capiztahan Night Festival is also aimed at increasing local tourism and the appreciation of culture, thus providing a stage to the municipalities to showcase their customs and cuisine.
