The Ganduyan Mapagkalinga Eagles Club - GMEC is inviting the Sagada community, and friends near and far to our annual Community Concert at the Sagada Poblacion Community Court this coming December 22, 2023.

If you have musical talent, come through and show it off! Whether you play, sing, or do something cool with music, you are welcome to join us in making this night of live music a melodious success.

Everybody is welcome. It’s free, it’s local, and it will be awesome. No fancy stuff -- just good music and groovy vibes as we welcome this festive season!

SAGADA TOURISM ADVISORY

October 31-November 1, 2023

ON TOURS:
✔️ All tourists are required to Register at the Municipal Tourist Information Center or at the Tourist Assistance Hubs (Petron / Maduto area for October 31-November 1 only).
✔️ Keep your official receipts with you as it serve as your entrance pass to the sites you opt to visit.
✔️ Never engage the services of children for your tour activities. Seek the services of accredited tour guides (they should be wearing their tourist guide ID).
✔️ Paytokan/echo valley tours including tours around CSMV compound will be suspended on November 1 at 12:00nn onwards and November 2 at 6:30-9AM. Tours shall be opened by 10:00AM.

ON ACCOMMODATIONS:
✔️ Please book your accommodations in a registered accommodation establishment (visit umali-kayo.sagada.com.ph for lists).
✔️ Inform your accommodation if you will be back late. Minimize noise at all times especially during night time.

ON TRANSPORTATION AND TRAFFIC:
✔️ All tourists coming with vehicles (private and agency-owned/hired) are required to park their units all throughout the duration of their stay in their hotel parking area or in any designated parking areas.
✔️ No Parking at CSMV compound by 5:00PM of October 31, 2023. Ask assistance on other designated parking areas from your accommodation.
✔️ Central town including Echo valley, Sagada weaving, and Ganduyan Museum is a walking tour. No vehicles are allowed to ferry guests going to these sites.
✔️ Local shuttles shall be allowed to ferry tourists to identified sites.

ON ENVIRONMENT:
✔️ Please bring your own bag preferably eco bag for your purchases.
✔️ Minimize use of plastics. Please bring your own reusable water bottles/tumblers.
✔️ Strictly, No littering. Bring back your garbage to your lodging houses or dispose of it properly in any available garbage bin.

ON CULTURE:
✔️ Be respectful of all Sacred Grounds and sites like echo valley, church and burial caves.
✔️ Ask permission before taking pictures most especially during rituals.
✔️ Please do not wear scanty clothes and no necking in public places.

ADVISORY: LIFTING THE CLOSURE OF SUMAGUING CAVE

This is to lift the advisory issued 30 August 2023, Closing Sumaguing Cave for the whole month of September. To inform the public that, starting 01 October 2023, said site is now open to tourists.

Notice of Cave Closure: SUMAGUING CAVE

Let it be known that as per assessment of the Cave Assessment Team, this municipality, Sumaguing Cave is not safe for caving after the heavy downpour of rain brought by Typhoon Goring, causing a high water level inside the cave. Hence, site is closed today and tomorrow, 30-31 August 2023.

Further, be advised that said cave will remain closed to tourist for the whole month of September pursuant to the provisions of the 2022 Revised Tourism Code of Sagada on Closure of Sites.

Where to eat in Sagada! In all fairness, all restaurants are really budget-friendly ranging from Php 150-400+ max. + im not exaggerating when I say THEY ALL SERVE REALLY GENEROUSLY. So you might want to consider sharing with friends to make the most out of every dish. ++ idk whats in Sagada but THEY...
