AirAsia plans to gradually resume domestic operations by June. This is following the Philippine government's decision to upgrade the National Capital Region (NCR) and other areas of the country to General Community Quarantine (GCQ) starting Monday, June 1.

We are currently checking with aviation authorities and respective LGUs for their own guidelines regarding the opening of local airports, as some may still be closed in June.

Stringent procedures are in place to ensure flight crew and passengers' safety. The new set of measures includes contactless boarding procedures, disinfection of all aircraft and facilities, and the use of High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters inside AirAsia aircrafts.

Philippine Airlines will operate special flights between Manila and Toronto on May 23, 2020 (Saturday). The PR118 Manila-Toronto flight is allowed to carry only Canadian nationals and holders of Canadian permanent resident visas. The restriction on passenger types is set by current Philippine Immigration requirements for entry and exit.
