📢 Attention to all oxygen manufacturers, retailers, refilling stations, and other concerned offices in Region 2:

The Cagayan Valley RIATF passed Resolution No. 396, Series of 2021 on the Prioritization of Production and Distribution of Medical Grade Oxygen and the Need for Prescription to Dispense Medical Oxygen. Duly resolved herewith:

1. All oxygen manufacturers, retailers and refilling stations must prioritize the production and distribution of medical grade oxygen to health facilities in their localities. This will help in securing enough oxygen supply in the region;

2. All medical practitioners and authorized establishments shall require a doctor’s prescription in the purchase of medical grade oxygen. This will ensure the safety of consumers and will prevent the indiscriminate sale of medical oxygen which leads to hoarding and panic buying; and

3. The Officers of Civil Offense (OCD) as the lead agency of the Regional Task Force (RTF) Against COVID-19 and the implementing arm of the CV-RIATF, shall ensure the monitoring of the prioritization, production and presentation of the appropriate prescription in the purchase of oxygen supply in the region. A Task Force on Oxygen Supply shall be created under the Health Facilities of the Response Cluster of the RTF with DTI as lead and DOH as co-lead, and the FDA, DILG, Provincial Health Officers, Government and Private Hospitals and Oxygen manufacturers and suppliers as members.
