The new Terminal Building of Clark International Airport is among the top six finalists in the 2021 World Selection of the Prix Versailles Architecture and Design Awards under the Airport Category.
Combining modern technology and Kapampangan culture, the terminal’s interior is based on the surrounding landscape of Central Luzon.
The Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp (LIPAD), operator of Clark International Airport, cited the role of international design firm Populous for the design of the new terminal, which ensured that Filipino culture and aesthetics reverberated through all aspects of the terminal's interior.
Alongside Clark International Airport are Berlin Brandenburg Airport W***y Brandt (Germany), Athens International Airport (Greece), South Wing Hazrat Sultan International Airport (Kazakhstan), New Plymouth Airport (New Zealand), and LaGuardia Airport, Terminal B (New York).
