Taiwan is Visa-Free until July 31, 2023,
and Filipinos have the privilege of entering the country without a visa.
Philippine immigration officials are strict it may cause your plan to fail.
Below are some tips to avoid being offloaded by immigration officers in the Philippines.
1.) The passport must still have 6 months of validity.
Immigration is strict in terms of passport validity.
Yes, you can only stay for one week but less than 6 months of validity is sure to offload.
2.) Get your flight ticket (with a return ticket).
They ensure that you return to your country of origin with a flight return ticket.
3.) Prepare your paid Hotel Booking voucher.
Having hotel accommodation is a definite plus, so you don't get offloaded, Airbnb or transients' homes will do as long as you have a voucher to show.
4.) Prepare a company ID and Certificate of Employment.
They ensure that you will not apply for a job in Taiwan without a record from the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration.
5.) Bring proof of your financial ability.
This can be cash, debit card, or credit card.
Sometimes they will ask you for a bank certificate as proof of your savings.
6.) Letter of invitation / Letter of Sponsor.
This only applies if someone invited you or sponsored your trip. This letter must be authenticated by MECO.
7.) Relax and Dress Smartly.
Be yourself and be confident.
Dress appropriately in your jeans, shirt, and a pair of clean shoes.
Just OOTD when you get there.
8.) Answer what the officer asks.
Don't say any drama to the officer.
Most questions can be answered with yes or no or 5-word phrases.
