On or about 0600h 19January 2025 members of this squadron participated the coastal clean up at Brgy Bignay 2 Sariaya Quezon ( 2nd Div AOR )with CG Station Southern Quezon Batangas Bignay 2 Sariaya Eagles Club Bignay 2 National High school Rotaract club of Sariaya BPSO Bignay Dos Brgy officials of Bignay 2 and CENRO Tayabas,a total of 70 sacks of PET bottles assorted junk food packages and glass bottles were collected the clean up ended at around 0800h with no untoward incident happened.

On or about 1630h 16 January 2025 this squadron released 203 Olive Ridley hatchlings at shoreline Brgy Bignay 2 Sariaya Quezon it was witnessed By Brgy officials of Bignay 2, local tourist and Sariaya Quezon Bantay Dagat. AUX CDR ANDRES LUISTRO JR PCGA had a short talk regarding the activity he gave emphasis on the life cycle of the marine turtles Ang their role in marine biodiversity prior to the released.

On or about 0700h 16 January 2025 this squadron released 60 Olive Ridley hatchlings at SEVES hotel and resort shoreline Brgy Guisguis Sariaya Quezon it was witnessed and participated by the employees and guest of the resort,CENRO Tayabas CGSS Cotta CG MEP Group. AUX CDR ANDRES LUISTRO JR PCGA had a short talk regarding the activity as well as the representative from CENRO and MEP Group prior to the released.

About 1500H on 11 January 2025, the 512th CGAS CGADSTL conducted the first monthy meeting for the year 2025. Election of squadron officers and corresponding designations was conducted. AUX CDR ANDRES LUISTRO JR PCGA was elected as DAS, with AUX LT LARRY LIM PCGA, as 1st Division Director and AUX LCDR HENRY KASILAG PCGA as 2nd Division Director. Plans and programs for the current year were also presented along with other important agenda.

On or about 1645h 10 January 2025, this squadron released 136 Olive Ridley hatchlings at the shoreline of Brgy Puting Buhangin San Juan Batangas with CGSS San Juan with the management and teaching staff of NU Lipa.

AUX CDR ANDRES LUISTRO JR PCGA had a short talk regarding the importance of the sea turtles in marine biodiversity after which NU Lipa turn over 5 bags of 5kgs rice to be given to the Pawikan patrollers and 10 bundles of joy toy for the children of patrollers

2nd Division 512th CGAS CGADSTL

On or about 1630H 09 January 2025 512th CGAS released 158 Olive Ridley hatchlings at the coastline of Sitio Kaingin Brgy Bignay 2 Sariaya Quezon with the representative from the Municipal Mayor's Office, Sariaya Quezon Eagles Club, LK Lucena Eagles Club, Members of the Sangguniang Barangay, Barangay Tanod and Sangguniang Kabataan of Brgy Bignay 2, Sariaya Bantay Dagat, Tanggol Kalikasan, Local media members from Channel 6 / KISS FM and local tourists.

AUX CDR GERONIMO REYES JR PCGA and MR. ERWIN EGAMINO of the Mayor's Office gave their messages, discussed and explained the importance of Sea Turtles in the biodiversity, their life cycle and keeping our shorelines clean and free from plastic wastes. Officers and personnel of 512th CGAS CGADSTL are always committed in the conservation and protection of the sea turtles within our AOR.

About 1700H on 09 Jan 2025, 512th PCGA Squadron CGADSTL personnel released a total of 98 Olive Ridley hatchling along the coastline of Brgy. Putingbuhangin accompanied by personnel from CGS Batangas, CGSS San Juan Coast Guard District Southern Tagalog D7 Veterinary and Dental services , MENRO San Juan, De La Salle Lipa and local townsfolk. Our generous partners from Brother Philippines Inc also joined the activity.

On or about 1630H 08January this squadron released 192 Olive Ridley's hatchlings at the coastline of Brgy Puting Buhangin San Juan Batangas with the MENRO , Municipal Tourism Office local tourist and Bandilyo News Team, AUX CDR ANDRES LUISTRO JR PCGA SQUADRON DIRECTOR AND MR JERIC ROBLEDO of the MENRO explain the importance of the turtles in the marine biodiversity and it's life cycle. Officers and members of 512th CGAS CGADSTL were committed in the conservation of PAWIKAN and keeping the shore and sea free from plastic waste.

On or about 1830H 04 January 2025 AUX CDR ANDRES LUISTRO JR PCGA, 512th DAS received a call from AUX CDR JOSEPH RELLORA PCGA that their security personnel at Seafront Residences at Brgy, Calubcub found an Olive Ridley turtle who had just layed 48 eggs at the shoreline and ready for tagging. We immediately informed CGSS San Juan and went to the said location, assisted by Arsenal Security in putting the tag bearing number PH3125A the said turtle, which measured 70 cm x 72 cm and approx 50 kgs. After tagging it was released safely back to the Tayabas Bay at around 1940H.

First activity for the year, on or about 1630h 03January2025, 63 Olive Ridley's hatchlings were released at the shoreline of SEVES Hotel and Resort Sariaya,Quezon It was witnessed by PCG Southern Quezon CGSS Cotta PCG MEPU CENRO Tangol kalikasan and Sariaya Bantay Dagat. 512th CGAS CGADSTL will continue it's commitment in conservation and protecting Sea Turtles within our AOR.
