The lionfish is native to the Indo-Pacific region, with at least five species present in our local ecosystem. These fish are easily recognizable by their bold stripes and sharp spines. As with all marine wildlife, it's important to admire lionfish from a safe distance to avoid disrupting their natural habitat.
