DOT SECRETARY FRASCO NAMED WORLD TOURISM ICON OF THE YEAR BY GTBA

On February 10, Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco was honored as the World Tourism Icon of the Year by the Global Tourism Business Association (GTBA) for her efforts in promoting the Philippines globally. In her acceptance speech, Frasco thanked the DOT and its partners for their collective work in elevating Philippine tourism. The ceremony also saw the induction of the new GTBA Board of Trustees, with Frasco emphasizing the importance of innovation in the evolving tourism industry.
