San Miguel Corporation (SMC) is set to takeover the operations of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) starting September 14, 2024.

There are some reassignment of terminals aims to decongest the country's main gateway. New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation (NNIC) general manager announced :

TERMINAL 1 : exclusive to Philippine Airlines (PAL)
TERMINAL 2 : will serve domestic flights for PAL & Cebu Pacific
TERMINAL 3: will accommodate International Carriers
TERMINAL 4: will be for AirAsia flights.

No effective date yet. Stay tuned for more updates.

With reference to this social media post [https://www.facebook.com/reel/335022282897180], we checked with AirAsia, Cebu Pacific, and Philippine Airlines if they allow motorcycle helmets as hand-carry items on their flights.

For PAL, motorcycle helmets are allowed as hand-carry items, provided that they are within the maximum total dimensions specified by the airline.

👉Tips on How to Get Refund on a Non-Refundable Ticket

Question: BAKIT ang mga promo tickets or low cost ticket are non-refundable?
Answer: Ang dahilan bakit may non-refundable tickets is because para ang mga airlines ay makapag offer ng ticket sa mababang halaga kaya consider sya as perishable goods, and also kaya non-refundable ang promo tickets is because to cover the operational expenses ng airlines. Kung ang low cost ticket ay magiging refundable ang airlines na po ang malulugi dahil anytime pwede magcancel ang mga pasahero - in the end ang airlines hindi nila mamemeet yung number of passengers sa bawat isang flight. So dapat po be responsible po with your travel plans. The only option for non-refundable ticket is to rebook it on other date if you can't take the flight on your original booking date. But voluntary changes can cost you as well a penalties and fare difference because technically ika-cancel mo pa rin yung ticket mo.

Question: Eh papano kung nalate ako dahil sobrang traffic.
Answer: Regardless of the reason why you can't take a flight unless it's emergency then refund or cancellation is still not allowed on a non-refundable ticket. Hindi po kasalanan ng airlines or agent na nagbook sayo kung late ka dumating sa airport lalo na kung na-advise ka ng agent mo ng tamang oras na dapat nasa airport ka na. You are the sole responsible with your own travel. In terms with emergency reason refund is subject for approval pa rin ng airlines and you need to submit necessary proof.

Tips on how to get refund on a non-refundable tickets
1. Purchasing a Cancellation Cover Insurance: This will guarantee you a refund even if your ticket is non-refundable. But this cancellation cover will still have a covered reasons so be better read all the terms and conditions. Our Agency Offer Cancellation Cover.
2. Buy a higher booking class ticket or should I say Refundable Ticket but this will cost you a lot of extra money.
3. Abruptions of Flights came from the airlines - you can definitely ask for a refund though service charges and other fees and tax will be deducted to the amount you paid when you purchased the ticket.

Hope this will help for those who are confused why travel agents won't able to provide you the refunds.

🛳️BOARDING REQUIREMENTS
One (1) Printed Copy of the eTicket Itinerary Receipt.
Presentation of the Passengers Valid ID.
Travel documents required by national or local authorities.

2GO Travel reserves the right to refuse boarding if passengers cannot present these documents upon request.

🛳️eTICKET ITINERARY RECEIPT
The eTicket Itinerary Receipt is non-transferable. It is valid up to date of departure printed on the ticket. Unused eTickets can be Refunded or Revalidated within its validity period only. See Return Policy below for details.

🛳️GOVERNMENT-MANDATED DISCOUNTS;
SENIOR CITIZENS
Senior Citizen discount will apply/compute for passengers whose age is 60 years old or above and once the passengers ID number is entered. The 20% Senior Citizen discount applies to Base Rate only. The eTicket Facility displays the lowest available promo rate at the time of booking. Therefore, if the promo rate is available, it will automatically apply/compute instead of the Senior Citizen discount.

12% VAT will also be deducted from the fare. You may call the Customer Service hotline or visit our Booking Outlets should you need to compare rates.

A valid Senior Citizen ID (issued by Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs, Philippines.) or any valid Philippine Government Issued ID's bearing the birthdate of the passenger must be presented during inspection and boarding. Failure to present the required ID will forfeit the discount and ticket will have to undergo Revalidation (See Return Policy).

The Senior Citizens discount is applicable to Filipino Nationalities only.

Senior Citizens are suggested to travel with a legal-aged companion and to bring a medical certificate indicating they are fit to travel. They maybe subjected for check-up by the Vessel Doctor or Nurse on the day of departure. It is within discretion of the Vessel Doctor or Nurse if the passenger is fit to travel and will be allowed to board.

INFANT
Infants who are below 2 years old and below 1 meter in height are considered INFANTS and maybe allowed to board. They are advised to secure a medical certificate and identification proving their relationship with the accompanying passengers.

A fixed rate of Php 500.00 will be charged per infant regardless of destination or accommodation. All surcharges are waived.

A separate ticket will be issued for the infant, however, he/she will be sharing his/her parent or guardian's bunk or room.

No more than two (2) infants will be allowed per adult passenger. The succeeding infants will be charged full promo fare or 75% off on base rates plus all the surcharges.

Infants will not be boarded unless accompanied by an adult (parent or guardian).

PREGNANT PASSENGERS
Passengers who are more than 24 weeks pregnant will be denied boarding the vessel.

Pregnant passengers must be present a medical certificate showing that gestation or pregnancy is 24 weeks or below. They are also suggested to travel with legal-aged companion. They maybe subjected for check-up by the Vessel Doctor or Nurse on the day of departure. It is within the discretion of the Vessel Doctor or Nurse if the passenger is fit to travel and will be allowed to board

MINOR PASSENGERS
Minor passengers who are below 18 years old and are travelling alone, MUST BE accompanied by their parents or legal guardians at the port. They should be endorsed to the Boarding Officers where the parent or guardian will be required to sign a waiver.

Minor passengers should be fetched by their declared representatives at the port of destination. The passenger will be put on-hold for release and will be endorsed to Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in the absence of their representatives.

OTHER DISCOUNTS: PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES (PWDs), STUDENTS AND MEDAL OF VALOR AWARDEES
For Persons With Disability, Medal of Valor awardees and Students, kindly proceed to our Corporate Booking Outlets and Authorized Retail Outlets to avail of the Special Discounts.
