IMPORTANT ADVISORY FROM KOREAN EMBASSY

Good Day!

Due to increase in number of applicants, there has also been an increase in inconsistencies in the documents for applications.

Because of these inconsistencies, the embassy has decided to implement rules that must be followed by the accredited agencies during the application process.

- The font to be used should be Arial with the size of 12 for the visa application form.
- Be sure to double check if there is wrong spelling, or birth date.
- Double check the arrangement (order) of documents before submitting to the window.
- Be sure that the applicant’s contact number is correct and can be contacted.
- Be sure to go to the right window for the filling.
- For business applications or for applicants who are invited (C3-1 visas), check the date of departure. If the date is already close, ask the applicant to file for express.
- Avoid losing claim stubs and/or receipts.
- Be sure to have the (correct) accredited agencies’ logo stamp/sticker already on the application form and the passport.
- Double check the passport and the application, to avoid submitting the wrong passport.
- Double check the passport and make sure that there is at least one (1) free page to place the visa (if approved).
- During filing of applications and release of passports, strictly follow the order of the number given to you. No cutting in line.
- If the applicant is invited by a Korean company or family refrain from requiring unnecessary documents. Additional documents are to only be provided upon request of the embassy.
- When submitting photocopied documents, be sure that the text on the documents are clear and can be read. If not, please provide an explanation letter as to why a clear copy cannot be provided.
- For BDO and BPI card statements, please check if the statements provided are the card statements for the last three (3) months.
* If the statement cannot be provided, a bank certificate and statement may be submitted in replacement.
* If card statements, bank certificates, and bank statements cannot be submitted, the application may not be accepted.

The implementation of these rules will begin on November 11, 2019.
Please follow them in order to avoid any complications.
