U.S. Embassy Consular Update: Certain Visa-Related Services will be Unavailable on September 26 and 27

There will be a scheduled interruption of some visa services on September 26 and 27 during the transition to a new visa appointment scheduling system. Scheduled visa appointments at the U.S. Embassy are not being canceled and will continue as normal. During the two-day transition period, immigrant and nonimmigrant visa applicants will not be able to schedule or reschedule visa appointments, pay visa application fees, or contact the call center. Visa fee payment services will be unavailable as early as September 25 and will resume on September 28.

Delivery services may also be partially affected. The LBC courier will deliver documents and visa packets received prior to September 26 on the normal schedule. Customers may continue to submit interview waiver applications and other documents to LBC branches during this period.

For urgent visa application concerns or requests during these dates, applicants may reach out to the Consular Section directly via the online visa inquiry form at ph.usembassy.gov/contact-us-visas/. All regular services will resume on September 28 with the launch of our new visa systems platform.

The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) wishes to inform the public that the following types of NON-IMMIGRANT visas are 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐃 to register with and undergo the CFO's pre-departure program:

1. Tourist/Visitor/Short-stay visa
2. Student visa
3. Work visa
3. Digital Nomad visa
4. Dependent visa
5. Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) visa for Canada-bound
6. Open Work Permit (OWP) visa for Canada-bound

Filipino spouses, fiances, and other partners of foreign nationals, former Filipino citizens or Filipino dual citizens who are holders of tourist, visitor, or short-stay visas are 𝐍𝐎 𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑 𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐃 to register with the CFO.

Holders of working visas should register with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).

Only those with the following visa categories are 𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐃 to register with the CFO:

1. Permanent residence/Immigrant/Long-term visa
2. Spouse, fiance, or partner visas with direct pathways to permanent residence
3. Au Pair visa for Europe
4. J1-visa bound for US

FYI🇺🇲 New Guidelines..

ANNOUNCEMENT: The U.S. Embassy in the Philippines will open a new Visa Application Center (VAC), launch an updated visa appointment system, and expand call center services to U.S. citizens in the Philippines starting on September 28.

The new VAC will be located at Parqal Building 8, Level 3, Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard, Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City. Immigrant and nonimmigrant visa applicants seeking interview appointments starting September 28 will be required to schedule a separate appointment at the VAC for photo capture and fingerprint scanning prior to their interview at the U.S. Embassy on Roxas Boulevard. Scheduling will be done through the new and redesigned online appointment system.

Applicants who have scheduled a visa interview before September 28 will not be affected by this change and should proceed directly to their appointment at the Embassy.

The new online appointment system will feature a secure and user-friendly interface for visa applicants and will be available on September 28 on ustraveldocs.com/ph. Applicants who have existing accounts in the current visa appointment system will be required to sign in to the new system using their already-registered email address to retrieve their user profile, which includes payment receipts and appointment information.

The VAC will offer appointment slots from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, and from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturdays. No appointment is needed for applicants who would like to pick up their passports or drop off interview waiver visa applications and other required documents from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
