Being crowned as Mutya ng Taguig 2016, it made me realized that nothing is impossible with perseverance and faith. Through my reign, I've enjoyed working with my advocacy which is Education as a primary need of our young generation. If we educate our youth today, they will have something to offer in the future.
I would like to take this once in a lifetime opportunity to thank the strongest and an empowered woman in Taguig, Mayor Lani Cayetano, for giving me the chance to be the most beautiful Taguigueña in 2016. To Congresswoman Pia Cayetano, you are an inspiration. To Vice Mayor Ading Cruz and City Council, Councilor Pammy Zamora and Councilor Rick Paul Jordan, thank you.
To Barangay Fort Bonifacio, Barangay Chairman Allan Oliman and barangay council and staff, Thank you for welcoming me.
To my Mutya team, kagawad Joseph Parras, thank you for believing in me and entrusting me with the responsibilities. To the Beauty Queen maker who taught me the essence of a beauty queen, Mr Jhef Miralpes, I thank you for your undying passion and support.
Thank you Mr Joey, Ms Osang, Ms Lyka and to Ms Rio and Sentro Spa family. And to Mr Alvin Nogot, thank you for allowing me to wear your beautiful creation.
To my parents and family members, thank you for being my armor of strength and love. I share this success with you.
To AIM a change youth organization and to the friendships I've gained through this journey, I will treasure the moments we've shared. I might not be able to thank each and everyone of you, but I truly appreciate your support.
To the next Mutya ng Taguig, be an imperfectly perfect queen. Be an Ambassador of Goodwill, an inspiration to the people of Taguig and most importantly, be the best version of yourself each and every day onwards.
My reign has come to an end, and I will take everything that I've learned and apply it in the future and of good use. It has been a prosperous year and an incredible journey.
Again, this is Catherine Abagon Pecante, your forever Mutya ng Taguig 2016. Mabuhay ang gandang Taguigeña! To God be the Glory.
