Starting June 11, third-country nationals applying for a Schengen visa will face increased fees, as announced by the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. Taiwan has announced an extension of its visa-free entry policy for Filipino travelers until July 31, 2025. The Bureau of Consular Affairs (BOCA) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Tuesday that Filipinos can continue to enjoy visa-free visits for up to 14 days, effective from August 1, 2024. This policy, however, excludes aircraft or ship crew members on duty.

According to BOCA, travelers must have passports valid for at least six months. They are also required to present hotel reservation details, contact information in Taiwan, and proof of sufficient financial resources during border inspections.

BOCA stated that this visa policy extension supports the promotion of the 'New Southbound Policy' and aims to enhance visa arrangements for nationals of New Southbound countries visiting Taiwan.
