Metro Manila's heat index may reach 45 degrees Celsius, according to PAGASA's forecast on Thursday.

Meanwhile, 35 other areas also breached the normal levels of the heat index, with Sangley, Cavite logging the highest heat index with 47 degrees Celsius.

Temperatures exceeding 41 degrees Celsius are considered to be "danger" levels of heat. With this, PAGASA advised the public to take precautionary measures against the extreme heat to prevent heat-related ailments such as heat cramps or heat exhaustion.
