Challenge yourself to climb one of the most difficult mountains to hike in the Philippines — Mount Guiting-Guiting in Sibuyan Island!

Its name is translated to “jagged” in Romblomanon dialect, which describes the jagged peak of the mountain. The mountain stretches to the heart of Sibuyan Island, and is also considered as a biodiversity haven by local and international scientists!

With an elevation of 6,752 ft (2,058 m) above sea level, it is a famous site for hikers all year round. Although the length and duration of the climb is shorter compared to other mountains, the trails of Mount Guiting-Guiting is made up of exposed, broken, and sharp ultramafic rocks and boulders, which makes it a very difficult climb for hikers.
