To ensure everyone’s safety and in compliance with Civil Aeronautic Board’s advisory on “Adherence to the Guidelines for the Operation of Domestic Passenger Air Transportation Between General Community Quarantine (GCQ) Areas,” including other requirements set by the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), Philippine Airlines and its passengers shall strictly observe the following in all airport facilities and on board the aircraft:

Mandatory wearing of face masks

Effective August 15, 2020, passengers in PAL domestic (and international) flights must wear a face shield, together with a face mask, throughout the flight and inside the airports. The face shield must be of good quality—clear and sturdy with a snug fit that covers the entire face.

Mandatory physical and social distancing and minimum contact at all times and in all places within the airport premises, and during all procedures, from check-in, boarding, inflight, disembarking to retrieving of check-in baggage

Mandatory public safety announcements before closing of doors and during flight for cabin and health security protocols

Strict compliance with safety procedures on handling of suspected/ill passengers on board, which include keeping the last three (3) seat rows of the plane vacant as isolation area for suspected ill passengers already on board

Regular sanitation and disinfection of airline facilities and equipment, and in coordination with the airport authorities, all airport facilities and equipment, including lavatories, frequently touched surfaces, wheelchairs, trolleys, countertops, etc.; Daily first aid stocks available on board the aircraft.

Philippine Airlines shall do its best to observe social distancing measures inside the aircraft, subject to space availability. Family members and individuals travelling together as part of the same household may still choose to be seated together.

NOTICE - CANCELLATION OF CERTAIN US/CANADA FLIGHTS

We regret that we have canceled the following flights to and from the USA and Canada. The government authorities are unable to give us an allocation for international arrival slots at Manila airport (NAIA/ MNL) because of unavoidable constraints in quarantine processing capacity in Manila:

PR102/103 Manila-Los Angeles-Manila on June 10

PR104/105 Manila-San Francisco-Manila on June 10
PR116/117 Manila-Vancouver-Manila on June 10
PR126 Manila-New York JFK on June 11
PR127 New York JFK-Manila on June 12

However, we plan to operate the following flights departing on June 11, 2020:

PR102 Manila-Los Angeles on June 11
PR103 Los Angeles-Cebu, in lieu of Manila, on June 11 (arrival date in Cebu is June 13)

We are still working on arrangements for PR103 to land in Cebu on June 13, and will announce this once confirmed.

Flight Suspensions Until May 31
Advisory # 59

PHL Local Time May 13, 2020

To our PAL Passengers:

We confirm that all Philippine Airlines domestic flights to or from our hubs in MANILA, CEBU and CLARK will remain cancelled up to May 31, 2020.
However, we are evaluating the possibility of flying international routes and/or domestic routes to and from our Davao hub, in coordination with concerned government authorities. We will announce any planned flights once these are finalized.

The continued pause in our Manila, Cebu and Clark hub operations is in compliance with the Philippine Government's declaration of the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine and related local restrictions for the period from May 16 to 31. We are in the process of notifying affected passengers by e-mail (many of you may have already received a notification by now).

If you are booked on a cancelled flight, your current ticket is safe and remains valid. For your options, please see here: https://tinyurl.com/y9vbd98c.

For June 1 onwards:

We plan to operate a reduced number of weekly flights on most domestic routes and on selected international routes by June 1 2020, but this will depend on COVID-19 conditions: community quarantine restrictions, travel bans imposed by various governments and their impact on passenger demand, and above all on the public health and safety situation in each of the countries that PAL serves.

We will announce the list of operating flights and routes for June 2020, once the details are finalized.

Kindly check our website www.philippineairlines.com, or follow our social media accounts, so that you'll be updated the moment we release advisories on new developments.

PAL will continue to operate occasional special flights to repatriate stranded passengers and to transport urgent cargo such as medical equipment and supplies to help sustain critical supply chains across the Philippines and on selected international routes.

Thank you for your kind cooperation. Rest assured that your health and safety is always our first and most important concern.
