"Between earth and ocean’s sway, mangroves dream in hues of green and gray."

Dapdap, also known as Tinago, is one of the 41 barangays in Tarangnan, Samar. renowned for its rich mangrove forests and historical significance. The area is home to the 16th-century San Francisco de Asis Church ruins, located atop a hill, reflecting its deep-rooted cultural heritage.

The 565 hectares mangrove forests in Dapdap and its nearby barangays are a vital part of the local ecosystem, providing habitat for diverse species and serving as natural barriers against coastal erosion and storm surge. These mangroves are integral to the community's environmental health and resilience.

Visitors to Dapdap can explore the Tinago Church Ruins, a 429-year-old site, and the nearby wishing well (Kuta), both situated within the hilly part of the barangay overlooking its mangrove-rich landscape. These sites offer a unique blend of natural beauty and historical intrigue, making Dapdap a noteworthy destination for those interested in ecology and history.
