Jeju Island in South Korea Reopens Visa-Free for Filipino Travelers

While a visa is required among Philippine passport-holders entering South Korea, Jeju Island is an exception. It is well-known for its fishing traditions, which include the long-standing practice among female divers who can dive up to 10 meters deep into the sea without using oxygen tanks. The island also boasts rolling hills, spectacular seascapes, and a geological wonder called the Geomunoreum Lava Tube.

Starting June 1, international tourists are once again allowed to enter the Jeju International Airport without the need for a visa, according to an announcement by Korea Tourism Organization.

Travel Restrictions

On November 5, the Japanese government announced new policies for visitors to Japan for business and study purposes (Nikkei Asia)!
From November 8, arrival in Japan has started to be accepted for business and study purposes for those who have been vaccinated. In addition, the self-quarantine period has been shortened to 3 days from 10 days, with the condition of being secured by the companies or organizations authorized by the government.
For tourism purposes, all foreign nationals are still not allowed to visit Japan for the time except for special circumstances.
