ARTIST OF THE DAY: DISENYO TIGBAUEÑO 5.0 "AMUMA"

Are you excited to get to know our participating artists for Disenyo Tigbaueño 5.0?

Let us all meet the man behind the creation of Tagatig, Mr. Jzy Tilos.

A true Ilonggo blue blooded artist, Jzy Tilos is a Tigbauanon. He is the founder of Tagatig (Tigbauan Artist Hub), where artists of Tigbauan in different walks of life is given same limelight. He is a rock band vocalist, a tattoo artist, but most especially a sage to his colleagues and junior visual artists. Jzy, cool in his usual black shirt gives life to the unusual and unknown, only the gifted can acknowledge. Not mentioning the Landlady series that makes noise across the border. It is not only his signature artwork but also his diverse introspection to another dimension. Today, the Tagatig's President shares a bit of himself, some from the light, some from the darkness, some from the reflections of scatters of ourselves.

Let us all meet the young and dazzling artist of Tagatig, Mylene Camposagrado.

I am Mylene Camposagrado, a 26-year old self taught artist from Brgy. Baguingin, Tigbauan, Iloilo. I am an artist dedicated to capturing the essence of emotions through my sketches and paintings. My journey as an artist began during my childhood, where I discovered that expressing my feelings through art brought me immense joy and clarity. As I continue on my artistic journey, I remain committed to evolving as an artist. My sketches serve as a reflection of my thoughts and feelings about the world, inviting viewers to see life through my eyes. I believe that art is a universal language, and I hope to inspire others to appreciate the beauty in both the ordinary and extraordinary aspects of life. My passion for drawing continues to drive me, and I am excited to share my journey with the world, one sketch at a time.

FRIENDS FROM MANILA VISIT ST. JOHN OF SAHAGUN PARISH CHURCH AND TIGBAUAN PASALUBONG CENTER

The Municipality of Tigbauan warmly and vibrantly welcomed our friends from Manila during their short trip to take a glimpse of the St. John of Sahagun Parish Church of Tigbauan dated October 30, 2024.

A brief history and exploration of the church overwhelmed their hearts and awakened their faiths to our Lord Almighty.

St. John of Sahagun Parish Church, commonly known as "Tigbauan Church" is a historical relic that connects the past and the present through a strong bond of faith and belief that makes one stand firm to face the future.

They also dropped by the Tigbauan Pasalubong Center to check out our local products!

We hope you enjoyed the trip and swing by for more tours of Tigbauan's offerings!

Are you excited to get to know our participating artists for Disenyo Tigbaueño 5.0?

Let us all meet the newest creative member artist of Tagatig, Kent Jerald Sangumay.

Kent Jerald T. Sangumay, a 21-year-old local artist from Brgy. Bagumbayan, Tigbauan, Iloilo, is making waves in the art scene with his medium of creating graphite and charcoal portraits. He started drawing portraits in Grade 10 and has developed his skills since 2019. He enjoys experimenting with different techniques and styles to find new ways to express himself. He is dedicated to his craft and always looks for ways to learn and grow. He also enjoys exploring other art mediums, which led him to join this organization to connect with other artists. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology, majoring in Architectural Drafting Technology at ISAT U Miagao Campus. He recently participated in the Saludan exhibit with the theme AMUMA, his first time joining this event. This experience further fueled his desire to connect with other artists and share his passion for creativity.

Let us all meet the young and charming artist of Tagatig, Karla Czarina Sulit.

Karla Czarina Sulit is a 20 year-old aspiring artist. She wields art as her voice, where words fall short, Employing gold(Au) — her favorite hue and element—in each heartfelt sort. This noble metal, soft and malleable, she loves, crafting beauty from fragility, like the stars above. In her creations, black and gold entwine, symbolizing hope, where shadows align. She believes that even in darkness, there shines a ray, a glimmer of gold, transformed into jewelry's play.

GROUND BREAKING CEREMONY OF DIALYSIS CENTER

The Local Government Unit of Tigbauan, headed by Municipal Mayor Atty. Virgilio T. Teruel and Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Lugen T. Ortilano, led the ground breaking ceremony of the Dialysis Center located at Brgy. Namocon, Tigbauan, Iloilo dated October 29, 2024.

This project was made possible through the help of Congresswoman Dr. Janette Loreto-Garin.

I'm Johnly T. Orquia I was born in Sitio Lanot, Brgy. Nagba, Tigbauan, Iloilo City in March 22, 1987. When I was young I really like to draw, using a pencil, crayons and etc.After I graduated in high school I went to manila to find a job, and what's where i develop my drawing skills, and that's what I treid to use a different kind of art materials.in 2019 I returned to the place where I was born. When I was in the Tigbauan, my friend told me that there was an art event, therefore i tried to showed my own masterpiece..

CELEBRITY BASKETBALL GAME 2024

The Local Government Unit headed by Municipal Mayor Atty. Virgilio T. Teruel and Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Lugen T. Ortilano vibrantly welcomed Paul Salas and the Celebrity Basketball Team for a friendly basketball game with the Tigbauan Basketball Team dated October 26,2024.

The game ends with a tie garnering a score of 118 points for both teams! 😍
