Living in the South PH was fortunate to have witnessed the launching of Grand Summit's Puso ng Pasko mission as well as the lighting of their Christmas Tree.

The event was participated in by members of the event industry in GenSan, the LGU, and the Sox Bloggers fam. Representatives from St. Vincent's Strambi Home for the Aged were also present to receive gifts from the Grand Summit Hotel Management.

The pastry chef of Summit Café also introduced their festive cakes inspired by the yuletide season. They served Black Forest cake, Tablea Bush de Noel, Simbang Gabi cake (inspired by Filipino simbang gabi staples p**o bumbong and bibingka na may itlog na maalat) and Hummingbird cake. You can order these cakes as part of your Christmas banquets.

𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐲𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐃𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐥 𝐢𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧!

The open space at the Dolefil Cannery Site was transformed into a Paskong Pinoy wonderland with colorful lights and traditional christmas symbols as Dolefil's Pinyaskuhan 2024 opens tonight.

Every year, the people of Barangay Cannery Site as well as those from other Barangays of Polomolok look forward to the Christmas display of Dolefil. It has become a consistent part of their yuletide celebrations.

Families flocked to the Pinyaskuhan to have their photos taken in front of a diorama of the belen, a replica of a Catholic church, a huge pineapple, santa's sleigh, and lighted parols.

The kids were also treated to free pop corn, ice cream, and cotton candy.

Dolefil Managing Director Masazumi Nishikage graced the event and led the giving of gifts to the children of Polotana Early Childhood Development Center.

This annual Christmas event is Dolefil's way of giving back to the community.

Everyone is invited to come and visit the Dolefil Cannery Site as they are open to the public for the whole month of December.

Living in the South PH had the honor to participate in the exclusive culinary tasting of Grand Summit Hotels General Santos City called THE FLAVORS OF THE WORLD.

Grand Summit Hotel is offering a fresh menu for their themed buffets featuring dishes inspired by cuisines from around the world. With these themed buffets, diners can get the chance to embark on a gastronomic journey around the globe without leaving the city.

At the helm of Grand Summit's kitchen is Chef Nathaniel Hopolito, whose rich experience includes serving as personal chef to famous international personalities like movie star Al Pacino. He has the customers' preferences in mind in every dish he whips up.

My favorite dish in the menu is the chicken pyanggang skewer, a Tausug dish that uses blackened coconut meat to give the chicken a smokey flavor and aroma. Its inclusion shows that our own dishes can be at par with those from other regions of the world. Grand Summit Hotel's version is milder than what I remember from a kanduli (banquet) I once attended, but it still has the characteristic flavor of the authentic spices used in the dish.

The karak chai, with all its spices, is a perfect beverage to punctuate the explosion of flavors of the tasting menu.

The flavors of the world are now within the reach of the people living here in the Southern Philippines with the themed buffet offering of Grand Summit Hotel General Santos.

Christmas officially begins tonight at Avia Estate, the newest township project in Alabel, Sarangani Province.

Alsons Development President and CEO Miguel Rene A. Dominguez opened the program tonight, answering the question, "Why Alabel?"

He said, "Alabel is a place where you can breathe fresh air, we want to share it with people not only from Sarangani but from other places as well."

He also highlighted the Public Safety and Security Center, which is opening soon. The said center is Avia's way of giving back to the community.

Paskuan sa Avia will run all weekends of December until the first weekend of January 2025. There will be musical performances and other activities for the whole duration. Food concessionnaires offer delectable dishes to visitors who wish to experience the Paskuhan sa Avia.
