The hike spans several days, beginning in Kibungan, Benguet, crossing through Sugpon, Ilocos Sur, and finally exiting in Santol, La Union.

This trek is classified as a major hike with a difficulty rating of 8 out of 9. It typically requires 2-3 days to complete. However, some valiant trailblazers extend the hike or ‘𝒟𝒾𝑒 𝐻𝒾𝓀𝑒’ , pushing their limits and embracing the adventure even further. Their determination and resilience truly set them apart on this challenging journey.

The highlights of this tri-provincial traverse begin with the 'Crying Mountain,' named for the natural phenomenon where water cascades down its rocky cliffs, resembling tears. Next, there's the infamous Litalit Trail, carved along an exposed, grassy 80-degree slope, requiring a 600-meter descent to Licungan in Ilocos Sur. Lastly, the Inasan Hanging Bridge over the Amburayan River serves as a boundary between Ilocos Sur and La Union and is the longest bridge of the entire hike, taking approximately 4-5 minutes to cross before reaching the end.

The Kibungan Cross Country (KXC) is a must-try, but it requires a proper mindset and preparation; it's definitely not for the faint-hearted.

Standing at 1789 masl, Mt. Kabunian is one of the three mountains that make up the “Bakun Trio” (together with, are Mt. Tenglawan and Mt. Patullok).

It is said to be the “Home of the Sky God Kabunyan” and is named after the highest deity of the Kankanaey myth named Apo Kabunian. With unique landscape and picturesque view, Tekdag Camsit Trail a.k.a. 𝒮𝓉𝒶𝒾𝓇𝓌𝒶𝓎 𝓉𝑜 𝐻𝑒𝒶𝓋𝑒𝓃, is the main highlight in Mt. Kabunian. This hikes challenge is the steepness’s and heat under the scorching sun. Not advisable for beginners, but a must for the brave-hearts. ❤️
