The Catanduanes Provincial Tourism Office has been proudly conferred the prestigious 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝, with the esteemed distinction of 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, during the 𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐄 𝐁𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 held on December 17, 2024, at The Marison Hotel, Legazpi City, Albay.

This accolade underscores the unwavering dedication of the Provincial Tourism Office to uplifting the tourism sector in Catanduanes, particularly the community-based tourism organizations (CBTOs). Even in the face of challenges brought about by the pandemic, the Office has remained steadfast in empowering these grassroots groups, enabling them to recover, adapt, and thrive sustainably.

The leadership of Supervising Tourism Operations Officer Carmel Bonifacio-Garcia has been instrumental in forging a strong partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Regional Office V, previously led by the late Regional Director Ma. Zenaida A. Angara-Campita (+), and now under Regional Director Imelda F. Gatinao. Through this collaboration, numerous livelihood opportunities have been extended to tourism stakeholders, ensuring that local communities in the Happy Island continue to flourish.

The Catanduanes Provincial Tourism Office expresses its heartfelt gratitude to DOLE RO V for this remarkable recognition and its continued support in advancing tourism in the province. The Office also extends its sincerest appreciation to the Provincial Local Government of Catanduanes, led by Governor Joseph C. Cua and Vice Governor Peter C. Cua, for their unwavering commitment to the development of the province’s tourism industry.

This award serves as a powerful inspiration to further strengthen inclusive, innovative, and resilient tourism practices. It is a reminder that through collaboration and dedication, Catanduanes can continue to pave the way for a prosperous and sustainable future in tourism.
