On 18th September 2022 our team planned to attempt for river rafting in Hunza river in Ganish.
The water was surprisingly clear. We paddled hard enough to get towards the flow of the river. The raft moved fast and capsized into the sloping rapid with one nudge. We tumbled and fell face first into the raging water. The current swallowed us under in a spiraling motion. Instead of gasping air we frantically gulped down water. We all held the raft tightly to flip it. The strong current was rocking our bodies slamming us against the rapid and suddenly our grip on the raft went loose. At that very moment, our team members got dispersed in the gushing river. We didn’t have enough energy to swim toward the banks but we did not give up. We pushed ourselves till the end. And with all the force we all managed to find our safe spots on the river bank.

Thanks to the local community of ganish for their incredible support.

Congratulations! We are proud to announce that an 8 member team has successfully summited an unclimbed wall (5,800 meters) in the Misgar region of Northern Pakistan at 05:47 AM on 8th August 2022 and has named the peak “Khimor-e-bal” (The wall of desire). This unprecedented feat makes the team the youngest ever Pakistani team to not only climb such a technically demanding wall but also discovering it, crafting a route, and finally climbing it.

The climb was performed in true alpine style fashion with bootstrapping all climb resources. No fixed ropes, porters, bottled oxygen, or any other external resources were used.

The team’s original plan was to summit an unclimbed peak North-West of the Advance Base Camp in alpine style. However, due to unfavorable weather conditions the team decided to change their plans on ABC and pushed towards the northern wall and were able to successfully summit it. The wall offered beautiful views of some of the mountains of Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, as well as Tajikistan. This unexplored region is a true gem for further first ascents.

We hope that our climbers will continue making us proud!
