Kumrat Valley is located in the Upper Dir district of KPK. It take 10-12 hours from Islamabad to reach the Kumrat Valley by road.

The valley is amazingly beautiful with scenic views all around. Major attractions include the "water fall" and "Kala Chasma" and Katora Lake. Its also famous for its beautiful deodar forest.

The historical Khanqah Chaqchan Mosque (meaning “The Miraculous Mosque”) in Khaplu, Gilgit-Baltistan is a vibrant mix of Persian, Kashmiri and Tibetan architecture.

Dating from 1370, the mosque is one of the oldest in the region, and dates from the time when the area's populace converted en masse from Buddhism to Islam.
