Hiking Track Towards Chitta Katha Lake

Chitta Katha lake is a wonderful lake in the Shounter valley of Azad Kashmir. Its altitude is 13,500 feet (4,115 meters) above sea level. Chitta Katha is a regional name which means “White Stream”. The inception of the lake Chita Katha Sar is Chitta Katha stream which is flowing from the Mount Harri Parbat. This Mountain is a religious place for the Hindu followers who relate it to the Lord Shiva and the eternal santuary of their Lord “The Kailash.
Chita Katha lake is accessible through a rough but beautiful and scenic trek.

After reaching there, bewitching beauty and supernatural charm mesmerizes the tourists. The jeep track starts from Kel to Domail Bala. It is a rough shingle road of 20 kilometers (12 miles) in length. The hiking trek starts along-with a 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) long lush green beautiful patch. Kel is the base-camp for the lake.

The lake is accessible from Kel by a 20 kilometres (12 mi) jeep track and then 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) hiking trek. Kel is the base camp to this lake.

Makra Summit - to Paye meadows

Makra peak shogran valley is a terrific beauty located in the Mansehra District of Hazara Region in northern Pakistan. The height of Makra peak is 3885 meters (12,746 ft) and from the basecamp of Siri Paye Meadows, it takes 4-8 hours to Makra Peak shogran valley Summit. The Trek to the Summit is considered Moderate to Difficult due to Snow but easily doable because we break the snow in a team instead of putting the burden on one trekker. Makra Peak Weather remains cold throughout the year. In Summer the weather is consistently cool to moderate.

The Makra is a scenic peak in the Mansehra District in the Hazara region of the Himalayas in northern Pakistan. A single 7-kilometer-long road runs uphill to Shogran, a tourist resort with numerous hotels; the track continues to climb up to Siri Paye. Hiking on the Makra is difficult due to snow and the gradient of the mountainsides especially in winter (December-March) however in Summers beginners with good physical fitness can easily climb to the top.

It’s an amazing hiking trail. Passing through some of the most beautiful places, valleys and some very challenging ascending and descending slopes.
Whole month of Aug is the best time to travel on this track.

Diyar Resorts - Forest walk (Dhir kot) Azad Kashmir
Diyar Resort is situated at Dhir Kot at the foot of a dense forest hill.

While resort is at main road, it extends into forest. There are natural springs that pass through the resort.

Scenic huts are spread in the resort’s fenced territory with stone paved trek.

You can take the forest trail and get out of fence to explore one of many trails in the forest.

In the middle of forest there is a very lay ground where kids play cricket.

Hike of 45 minutes takes you to the top of the hill where human dwellings are located.

You can opt to come back via forest or take the mud road from there.
The mud road meets the carpet road toward that connects Dhirkot with Bath.

This route offers tranquility and panoramic views of Jhelum valley on one side and Bagh valley including Neela Butt on the other side.

Road passes through the village of Lauri And Dhirkot Bazar to bring you back to Diyar Resorts.
