BREAKING NEWS! Pakistani javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem has qualified for the finals with a throw of 86.59m in his first attempt at the qualifying round.

Meanwhile, his biggest opponent, the Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, who is the defending Olympics champion, has also qualified for the final with a 89.34m throw.

The final will be played on 8th August 2024 in Paris.

Strong floods following the torrential Monsoon rains have completely damaged Mahandri Bridge in Kaghan Valley cutting off the shorter alternative route between Islamabad and Gilgit-Baltistan via Babusar Pass. Travelers and tourists have been advised to refrain from using this route and take KKH via Kohistan until proper crossing arrangements are made.
