For the first time in history, two professional paragliders have flown close to the summit of K2 – the second-highest mountain on Earth. The Belgian and Spanish paragliders Tom de Dorlodot and Horacio Llorens, respectively, captured never-before-seen views of the K2 on camera.

Champions of acro-paragliding, Llorens and de Dorlodot, were accompanied on their daring trip by their friend Rámon Morillas, when the trio embarked on a journey nobody would dare to. Now that their mission has been accomplished, both daring men have come forward with their own film, Flying Between Giants, that shows the marvels of this world. The documentary was shot by the athletes themselves high above the Karakorum.

The two paragliders initially made the flight in July 2022, but the video of the trip has just been released. Both men made a base camp at Baltoro Glacier, 10,000 feet above sea level, and practiced short safe flights there for a period of 4 weeks. This was followed by a dozen 60-mile flights lasting between 5-6 hours because flying at 28,251 feet was a huge risky challenge.

During the flight by K-2, they went up to a height of 24,858 feet but could not reach the summit. The pair spent four weeks on the Baltoro Glacier in the Karakoram mountain range, making several 100km flights in their quest.

In order to fill the gap of trained tour guides and to provide opportunity to unemployed young people to get jobs in the field of tour operation, Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) in collaboration with Department of Tourist Services (DTS), Sustainable Tourism Foundation Pakistan (STFP), College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM) and Pakistan Association of Tour Operators (PATO) under the supervision of World Federation of Tour Guides Association (WFTGA) is organizing a series of tour guides training workshops under the National Tour Guide Training Program. 1000 tour guides will be trained all over Pakistan in next two years.

The first two weeks extensive Tour Guides Training Program is scheduled to be held in Islamabad from 18 to 31 March 2023.

To promote gender equality and encourage female participation in all fields with men, the Bibi Hajira Foundation, Dastak Foundation and TravelDost have collaborated to support girls' ice hockey teams at the Phander Winter Sports Festival organized by Ghizer Support Network.
The Snow Birds Phander and Aglow Strikers Khalti teams were provided with kits and uniforms under this project, enabling them to represent their areas at the festival. Additionally, to encourage these girls in sports, a Best Female Player award, prize award for winners, and sports scholarships were presented to players.
Sports possess the power to transform lives and drive gender equality. Women and girls in sports can challenge gender stereotypes, serve as inspiring role models, and show men and women as equals through teamwork, self-reliance, resilience, and confidence.
For the past two years, the Bibi Hajira Foundation has been supporting female teams in the region through the "Women in Sports" project, and we are delighted to see more girls participating in these events.

Five brothers swept away by a powerful flood in Dubair Valley of Kohistan Upper, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Province. Only one survived.

The heart wrenching video shows the efforts to rescue the brothers which proved unsuccessful, and the flood swept them away. Four of the brothers drowned, while one was able to survive.

For five hours the brothers stood on a projected rock in the middle of the flood but the government and the administration couldn’t do anything to save them.

Locals believe that a chopper could have been sent to lift them off, but the much needed help did not arrive.
