Trango Tower, located in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan, is a breathtaking family of rock towers in the Karakoram mountain range. The highest point, Great Trango Tower, stands at an impressive 6,286 meters (20,623 ft) and features the world's greatest nearly vertical drop. These towers offer some of the most challenging big wall climbing opportunities globally, attracting climbers from around the world.
The Trango Towers are situated north of the Baltoro Glacier and are part of the Baltoro Muztagh sub-range within the Karakoram mountain range .
The first ascent of Great Trango Tower was made in 1977 by Galen Rowell, John Roskelley, Kim Schmitz, Jim Morrissey, and Dennis Hennek. Since then, numerous climbing routes have been established, including the notable "Eternal Flame" route on the Nameless Tower.
If you're interested in tackling the Trango Tower, there are guided expeditions available, such as the Trango Tower Expedition Pakistan, which offers a 25-35 day long expedition with logistic support team Rupal Expeditions.
