The old house Gulmit is located along the Karakoram Highway on the left side of Hunza River, close to Cultural Museum Gulmit. The oldest intact house in Gulmit is more than six centuries old. The house is double storey built in stone mud and wood of pine and walnut trees. The house has several rooms consist of bedrooms, kitchen, storerooms, and a gathering place (old dining hall) 🏚️

Do you know where the longest and highest stairwells in Pakistan are? 🏔️
Ondra Poygah is basically situated in the well-known village of Gulmit in Gilgit Baltistan. Ondra is the name of an ancient fort, whereas Poygah means stairs. It is essentially a stair (steps towards Ondra Fort) that leads from a historical Gulmit polo ground to the site of an ancient Ondra hilltop fort.
The total number of stairs is 1655, the elevation is 1562, and the trek route is 1.3 km long. Built in a record in 60 days period in winter of 2020/2021.
