Did you know, back in the mid 1990s, PlA connected Abbottabad with Islamabad by flying Mil MI-8 helicopters every other day between the two cities.

Fare for these commercial helicopter flights was Rs. 900 for 18 minutes flight.

Other scheduled flights from Islamabad to Abbottabad, Peshawar, Bhurban and Sialkot used to operate in this helicopter back in 1990s.
