Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif called on Khadimul Haramain Sharifain King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz AlSaud in Jeddah on July 25, 2014.
During the meeting, held at the King’s Palace on Friday, King Abdullah underlined the historic nature of the close bond between the two countries, which dates back to the days of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. King Abdullah assured that Saudi Arabia would always stand by Pakistan. The King further conveyed his personal sentiments and prayers for a strong, prosperous and peaceful Pakistan under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him during his visit to Saudi Arabia. He emphasised that his government wants to further strengthen ties with Saudi Arabia.
The two leaders also discussed the challenges being faced by the Islamic Ummah and called for unity and solidarity in these critical times.
