Pakistan managed to show the best performance of half a century in the Commonwealth Games, winning a total of 8 medals including 2 gold.

A total of 68 athletes participated in 12 different sports in the Birmingham Commonwealth Games and won 8 medals including 2 gold. Noah Dastgir Butt lifted a total of 405 kg in the over 109 kg weight category and won not only the gold medal but also the Commonwealth. A new Games record was also set.

In Manchester Commonwealth Games 2002, Pakistani athletes won 8 medals but only included one gold, in Delhi Games 2010 they won 5 medals including 2 gold, in track and field events,

Arshad Nadeem is only the third athlete in the history of Pakistan who has won common In 1954, Muhammad Iqbal won the gold medal in the Wealth Games, and in 1962, Ghulam Raziq won the gold medal in the 120 yards hurdles.

Sharan Forest, Paras, Kaghan Valley 💞

is a beautiful, untouched forest reserve in KPK, Pakistan. The forest is dense with heavy vegetation. It is for now mostly non-commercial, hence very clean with less influx of tourists. The forest is adjacent to Top, which again is a lush green plateau. You can expect to find rich flora and fauna, dense mossy formations, mushrooms, wild fruits on trees and water streams. The locals are friendly, there is a camp site inside the forest with small huts owned by forest and tourism departments.
