Winter Sports will boost winter tourism in Gilgit Baltistan. Skardu is located in the heart of Karakoram and Himalayan mountains and is the capital city of Baltistan region. It is the gateway to adventure world of Karakoram and also the most favorite destination for adventure lovers especially mountaineers. During summer the region receive huge number of adventure lover from around the globe but winter is still unexplored for both international and national level tourists and adventure lovers. With the aim of promotion of unique winter landscape and tourism opportunities GB govt along with it's partners initiating winter sports festival in Skardu for last two years. Here the pictorial glimpses of Ice Hockey of 2023 championship. The event also supported by Canadian govt and graced by her Excellency Ms. Leslie Scanlon High Commissioner of Canada to Pakistan.

Young mountaineer Sajid Sadpara, the son of the late legendary Pakistani mountaineer Mohammad Ali Sadpara, climbed the 8163-meter high Mt.Manaslu, the eighth highest mountain in the world located Nepal. Sajid Sadpara became the first Pakistani to reach the true summit Mt.Manaslu. This is forth peak higher than 8 thousand meters have been climbed by Sajid Sadpara. All the best Sajid for your future endeavors!

Pakistan ends discount offers on all climbing permit fees. Beginning from January 2023, there will be no more concessions, prices will go back to the regular price which used to be 20 years ago, before 2002.

In an attempt to prevent overcrowd and pollution on K2 and other peaks, this is the first major step taken by authorities towards fixing the issue so far this season.

According to the notification, another big change news is that there will be only one permit issued at one time. After the "mission completion", permit for the next peak will be issued. Also, they have put a limit on the number of persons to join in a group, so from now on, no more than a maximum of 15 pax in a group will be allowed. Additional fees per person will be charged above a 7pax group accordingly.

Since 2001, the country offered various discounts on all peaks to keep the mountain tourism attracted to people around the world who hesitated to travel Pakistan after 9/11. Permits to climb a mountain like K2 was currently being sold on 40 percent less. Those who climbed K2 in 2022 paid only 1,000$ per person, while on Everest, this price was 11,000$; such a huge difference of 10,000$ per person to climb the first and the 2nd highest mountains on earth!!

Disgusting behavior! Climbers do you leave your home like this?Don't think so! Shame on you!
No one should allowed to leave Pakistan unless the bring back the waste they created on the mountains. Instead of taking clean up fees from climbers and trekkers concerned authorities must ensured to bring down the wastes as per defined calculation and weight. Mountains are home for the millions of habitants of mountains areas so this disgusting attitudes mountaineers will not be bearable..

The highly energetic and emerging mountaineers of Pakistan including ( son of legendary mountaineer late Ali Sadpara) , Shehroze Kashif youngest climber, ._.kiani first Pakistani female summitter of G-1 and G-2 , Imtiaz Sadpara and Suhail Sakhi reached the summit of G-1. Congratulations on this great achievement and surely great gift of independence day of Pakistan 🇵🇰!

The Son of Pakistan has become the Youngest Mountaineer in the whole world to summit 10 X 8000er peaks Ma Sha Allah !!!!

Moreover, The Broad Boy is now the Youngest Pakistani to complete 5 X 8000er peaks within Pakistan.

And More 😁😁 Ma Sha Allah he is the Youngest in the whole World on each of Pakistani 8000ers K2, Nanga Parbat, Broad Peak, GI and GII.
