Today we celebrate the anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw.

Battle of Warsaw, (12–25 August 1920), Polish victory in the Russo-Polish War (1919–20) over control of Ukraine, which resulted in the establishment of the Russo-Polish border that existed until 1939. In a war that pitted Bolshevik revolutionary fervor against Polish nationalism, the Russian Bolsheviks suffered a humiliating defeat. The great Polish victory over the Red Army outside Warsaw ensured the survival of an independent Poland and may have prevented a Bolshevik invasion of Germany.

BOBOLICE CASTLE 🏰🦇

Visit one of the many beautiful castles in Silesia on a private trip to Bobolice Castle departing from Krakow. The castle is located in the Silesia province in southern Poland and was built in the 14th century with intent of acting in defensive of the Kingdom of Poland.

Originally a brick castle built around 1350 by King Casimir the Great, it was destroyed by the Swedish army during the Swedish Deluge in 1657. It has since been expertly renovated and currently welcomes tourists from all around the world.

See the beautiful surroundings of the castle, visit the chambers and the courtyard, and discover the history of this strategic point of defense for the former the Kingdom of Poland.

AUSCHWITZ/BIRKENAU MUSEUM
