Hereby some pictures taken during the last days. We went to Sobibór, Włodawa, and Zamość. And we hosted our Free Walking Tour in Lublin 😀.

Do you know that you can find beautifully renovated synagogues in Włodawa, and Zamość? Both towns had a rich Jewish history. From a historical perspective, the synagogue in Zamość is very interesting because it was a Sephardic synagogue located in an area dominated by Ashkenazi Jews. Why/how book a tour with us, and we happily explain!

Zuza brought our guests amongst other to Lublin Castle (the main building is actually not a castle 🤓). Martin shared spooky stories 👻 which took place at our Dominican Monastery during the Lublin Free Walking Tour. And we combined a wine tasting 🍷 at Winnica Widok Wojszyn with a tour in Kazimierz Dolny.

Martin's City Tours is celebrating its 6th birthday this week 🎂. So, we decided to give ourselves a present 🎁. Martyna, Christoph, and I passed The State Museum at Majdanek's exam 🎓 to become licensed tour guides today.

Every tour is different,😆 it has been proven during the last couple of walks. Spontaneously, we visited Cyngwajs for a delicious coffee brewed in a syphon.

And during a walk with Brain of MijnTours.com we had a unique chance to visit the crypts of Lublin's Dominican basilica. It felt very special to pay my respect to Bishop Andrzej. Normally, I talk about his journey with The Holy Cross Tree. Now I was able to see his resting place.

Why is Henryk Raabe's plaque missing at the former rectorate of the UMCS at plac Litewski 🤷‍♀️🤷? Henryk was the first rector of the newly found Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in 1944. This is one of the topics we spoke about during last weekend PRL - Communism in Poland/Lublin tour.

Urban Highline Festival Lublin

Did you know that the City of #Lublin, Poland is the host to one of the most unusual festivals in the world❓❓ Every year, the Urban Highline Festival attracts over 300 participants from all over the world to Lublin. In the past, we hosted slackliners from Europe and Canada, USA, China, Australia, Brazil, Peru, Israel and India. Highline in the urban space is a great attraction both for highliners and for those walking around the city. Slacklining is a sport discipline involving walking and performing tricks on a tape, usually 2.5-5 cm wide, hung and stretched between two points (trees 🌳🌳🌲🌲, rocky crags) at a height of several centimeters to several hundred meters. Inspired by the protagonist of Isaac Bashevis Singer's book "The Magician of Lublin", Jasa Mazur, organizers of Carnaval, however, decided to take a risk and bring this discipline to the streets of Lublin.
