I was writing this yesterday on the bus but my battery went off: I am on the bus going from Diyarbakir to Suleimani. The day in Diyarbakir was very nice however too short. It is strange how fast time is passing when you enjoy your time. And this was the case in Diyarbakir. I woke up quite late as yet I had nice conversation with local Kurds and after good breakfast in my hotel I went to buy the ticket to Iraq and then walked around the town, talked to people and finally met an old friend (Polish). The world is so little. Yet I was surprised to see how the armenian church in Diyarbakir hs been renovated. Few years ago I saw it as a total ruin. It was destroyed 100 years ago during Armenian Genocide and for 100 years there was no political mood to renovated it. But things change in this world, sometimes for better but I hope not only temporarily. However many Kurds are pesimistic about the future. In Iraqi Kurdistan things are going better, however in Kirkuk there was bombing, 9 people dead. And in Kobane Kurds fight Islamic State terrorists.

I am again in Diyarbakir. Earlier today I visited archeological museum in Stambul. mong others there were some artefacts from Ni**od and Ashur. I will be soon so close to these places.

I've just arrived to Istanbul. Going from Sabiha airport I was thinking about my previous visits to this town. The first one left me with not good impressions and I liked much more the rest of Turkey but next visit, that came many years later, was much more nice. I was looking at the buildings on the Asian side of Istanbul, on the people, traffic (that does not remind asian traffic but rater european one) and i realized that the same thoughts I had when I came here for the first time. Is Turkey European or not? But, now I know that the answer is not that simple as Istanbul is as much representative for Turkey as Moscow o Piter is for Russia. It means that it is a little bit world inside the world, Something different. And yet it depends on wich part of Istanbul. And I was thinking again, half of the people of Turkey are those conservative Anatolians, that shape now more and more the Erdogan's Turkey drifting away from Ataturk's path. And yet 1/3 or 1/4 are those cosmipolitans, leftists, intelecual-open-minded etc. etc. And the rest are nationalists, maybe secularists but non-tolerant for minorities. And they are conservative however Kurdish political representation is very leftist (PKK and HDP-BDP). Paradox. And with such thoughts my bus entered the bridge that joins European part with the Asian one. This is no more any border of the worlds. I came to Taksim. It has changed since my last visit and there was a big space for iftar (ramadan dinner). People already waiting for the dusk to have their meal. Some meters farther Istiklol Cadesi has not changed, also waiting for dusk, to start the party. Music, alcohol, shopping and human jungle.

In Vienna, yesterday I visited Tajikistan embassy to collect my visa for next trip. Then I went to Kunsthistorishemuseum. I was not disapointed. Beautiful collection. I visited also Neueburg where there are museums of Ephesus, Armory and Musical Instruments. There should be captions not only in German but also in English. Today I have a flight to Stambul and then Diyarbakir and Kurdistan.

Brak czasu spowodował że ostatnio nie było tu żadnej mojej aktywności. Może gdyby było więcej polubień, komentarzy, to miałbym większą motywację. Ale to nie oznacza końca podróży i relacji. Właśnie wyruszylem w kolejną podróż - do Kurdystanu.

National Museum, Nairobi, Kenya: this museum is very interesting and among others the exposition on Kenya history is undoubtedly worth to see. But there is one thing that is striking - almost entire exposition concerns the upland Kenya, the country that came to existance only in XIX c. to make it easier for British colonial power to govern. About the history of Coast, that is quite distinctive, there's very little there. There's only a mention about Swahili towns in Middle Ages. The Omani period is represented by this: picture of slave trader of Swahili-Omani origin. Arab-Muslim slave trade is a true part of Africa history that is rearly mentioned in African Muslim countries but on other hand the history of Omani period on the Coast is not only about slave trade.

Berbera is charming, unfortunatelly one of the reasons of its charm is endangered. The Ottoman architecture from late XIX and early XX century is in ruins after the war with Siad Barre regime, more then 20 years ago. And it may be demolished because there's no money and noone cares. Another charm comes from the beach. It is sandy, no stones hurting feet, shalow, warm water, and clean, as it is 2 km outside the town. And they serve exelent fishes there.
