Lesson today using tinkers from the same family.
1st horse ROSHEEN (2007) is the mother of the other 3 horses
2nd horse ROCKY (2016) father is PICCO
3rd horse ROBBIE (2020) father is TOSCA
4th horse RONJA (2014) father is PICCO.

ROSHEEN in my opinion is one of the best breeding mares out there. Foals are very easy to handle when young, and have the best trainable attitude. She has had a total of 8 foals, all born without complication or human interferance.

Lou today working with Dalton. Dalton tends to be bent to the outside, which leads to problems with correct canter lead, take-off, straightness and general way of going. Today we worked on inside flexion, and preparing for change of direction by changing flexion early enough. This exercise really helped Dalton to understand that he should be bending around the inside leg on turns. It also made Lou more aware that she should be thinking and planning a lot more when she knows a horses weakness

Some pole work for Hania and Dalton today. Sometimes Dalton can get too excited during poles, but we used them on a corner to help him stay focused on where he's suppose to go.

Today the arena was too frozen. so we did one of our lessons in the field. this was good for the rider to have to think and plan their riding. Good for the horse to work in different places. and some gallops uphill in the snow as fun for both horse and rider
